Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Once there, our safari consultant will meet you to brief you about your upcoming adventure. Take the rest of the day to relax and unwind after your journey to Tanzania. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Pick up from your hotel for a visit to the scenic Marangu Waterfalls. Along the way, experience the rich Chagga culture—observe their daily life, sample local cuisine, and see how the traditional banana beer, mbege, is brewed (tasting optional). After a day of culture and nature, return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Your driver will pick you from the hotel around 08:00 AM after breakfast for a visit to Arusha National Park, offering a preview of the wildlife you will encounter in other parks. Despite its small size, the park is home to giraffes, Cape buffalo, zebra, warthogs, elephants, Colobus and blue monkeys, bushbuck, flamingos, and many other species. Birdlife is abundant, with highlights like the Narina and bar-tailed trogons. Enhance your experience with a guided walking safari, getting close to nature while accompanied by a trained ranger. After an exciting day, return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Spend the afternoon at Osiligilai Maasai Lodge, located on the outskirts of Arusha and operated by the local Maasai community. This luxury lodge combines modern comfort with traditional Maasai architecture. Engage in authentic Maasai-led activities such as spear throwing, guided nature walks to learn about traditional medicines, handicraft lessons, and storytelling. Additional experiences include donkey rides, meditation sessions, sauna, swimming pool, children’s playroom (with optional caretaker), and enjoying a scenic sundowner while immersing yourself in Maasai culture.
Enjoy a scenic two-hour drive from Arusha as the landscape transforms before your eyes. Along the way, you’ll see local life—farms, stone quarries, and Maasai herders tending their cattle. Lake Manyara National Park, though small, is a paradise for bird watchers and home to elephants, wildebeests, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, warthogs, and waterbucks. After an exciting day of exploration, continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
Spend the day exploring the cultural heritage of the Datoga and Hadzabe communities at Lake Eyasi. Witness the Datoga pastoralists in their daily life, visit their homes, and join in traditional dances. Meet the Hadzabe, a hunter-gatherer community, and see them craft traditional hunting tools like bows and arrows, with the option to join a small game hunt. Conclude the day with dinner and overnight stay in Eyasi.
After an early breakfast at your hotel, drive through Ngorongoro towards Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you enter the central Seronera circuit, a wildlife-rich area nourished by the Seronera River. Spot vast herds of wildebeests and zebras, tall giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Encounter elephants, and if lucky, observe predators like cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and the majestic lion in their natural habitat.
Start the day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti plains to catch wildlife you may have missed the previous day. Enjoy the sunrise as it lights up the savannah while predators like lions and leopards hunt. For a unique perspective, you can opt for a hot air balloon ride over the untouched Serengeti—confirm this additional activity with your safari expert. After breakfast, continue exploring the vast savannah in your open-roof vehicle with a packed lunch, soaking in all the sights and sounds of nature.
Begin your day with a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, then in the afternoon start your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a scenic game drive along the way. Your driver will take a different route than on day two, offering a fresh perspective of the two UNESCO World Heritage sites—from the golden savannahs of the Serengeti to the lush montane forests of Ngorongoro.
Take a picnic lunch and descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full day of game viewing with your guide. At 610 m deep and 260 km² wide, it is the world’s largest caldera. The crater is home to all the Big Five—lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffaloes—along with hippos, cheetahs, antelopes, and spotted hyenas. You’ll also spot a variety of birds and other wildlife, including velvet monkeys, jackals, foxes, hyraxes, warthogs, gnus, zebras, and hares. After an exciting day, continue your drive to Tarangire.
After an early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park is famous for large elephant herds of up to 300, migratory wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland. Silale Swamp attracts over 550 bird species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. Tarangire also hosts tree-climbing pythons, lions, and leopards. After the game drive, return to Arusha.
