Accommodation includes 3 nights in Katavi and 2 nights in Mahale, focusing on exploring chimpanzees, diverse wildlife, birds, and reptiles.
You’ll be met by our ground handling team at Kilimanjaro International Airport/ Airport/Julius Nyerere International Airport and transferred to the delightful accommodation in Arusha/Dar es salaam
Fly from Arusha or Dar es Salaam to Mahale via shared charter plane, then transfer by speedboat across Lake Tanganyika to Mahale Mountains National Park.
After breakfast, enjoy chimpanzee tracking and bird watching, visit the chimpanzee research center, and hike to the waterfalls. In the late afternoon, relax on Lake Tanganyika’s beach or take a boat ride to spot hippos while enjoying the sunset.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will depart for Gombe Stream National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the rest house, where you will enjoy a meal, relax, and settle in for your overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will take off for an amazing morning chimpanzee tracking in the forest. You will also visit Kakombe Waterfalls, which is one of the best attractions in the park. If time allows, you can climb Jane’s Peak, where you will have a chance to enjoy the view of the park. Meals and your overnight stay will be at Gombe Rest House.
Depart for Katavi National Park after breakfast. You will take a boat transfer and then board a shared charter flight to Chada Luxury Tented Camp. Arrive in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive that will continue until late evening.
Enjoy a morning walking safari or game drive, then return to camp at 11:30 AM for brunch. Spend the afternoon at
leisure before tea and an evening game drive.
Katavi offers raw, untouched wilderness—massive herds, intense predator action, crowded hippo pools, and dramatic
dry-season wildlife interactions unlike anywhere else.
After breakfast you will be transferred to a nearby airstrip, and you will travel back to Arusha with a shared charter plane to Arusha.
