The Great Wildebeest Calving Migration Safari focuses on witnessing the Serengeti wildebeest season from December to April. Key areas include Ndutu, Southern, and Central Serengeti, with prime predator sightings—lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. The safari also includes a visit to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater.
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, pick-up by safari staff, briefing on your upcoming safari, and transfer to Kibo Palace Hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast at Grand Melia Lodge, drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive among elephants, tree-climbing lions, baobab trees, and wildlife gathering around the perennial Tarangire River.
After breakfast, we will set off for Ndutu area situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, which is
part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu like most other rift lakes is alkaline however
the water is still drinkable and consumed by a wide array of local wildlife.
We will spend the afternoon with a game drive in the Ndutu area. The majority of the wildebeest migration
can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily
populated with elephant, birds and resident game.
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Ndutu, exploring swamps, woodlands, soda lakes, and short-grass plains. Witness wildebeest and zebra herds, especially during the calving season, then drive to Serengeti National Park in the afternoon.
Start the day with a Hot Air Balloon safari over the Serengeti Plains, floating silently above wildlife and scenic landscapes. After breakfast, enjoy a full day of game drives tracking the Great Migration, spotting wildebeest, zebras, Thomson’s gazelle, and other wildlife across this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Morning game drive in central Serengeti, then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the afternoon with game viewing en route.
After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day wildlife experience, including Lake Magadi, then drive to Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, descend into the wilderness of Lake Manyara National Park for a day wildlife experience, while creating memories and sharing the fun moments. Later you'll be driven back to town and catch your flight back
