Zanzibar Island, known for its spices and 19th-century slave trade history, is a destination rich in culture and natural beauty. It offers stunning eastern beaches, visits to spice farms, and the unique heritage of Stone Town with its Arabian-influenced architecture.
After breakfast, take a walking tour of historic Stone Town, visiting the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum, Arab Fort, and exploring its markets, narrow alleys, ornate doors, cathedrals, and mosques. Later, take a short boat ride to Prison Island, once a slave detention and quarantine site, now a nature reserve for giant tortoises and historic ruins.
Today, visit spice and fruit plantations near Stone Town on the Spice Tour, learning about traditional uses in medicine, cosmetics, and cooking. Enjoy lunch at the guide’s home before heading to your beach resort. En route, explore Jozani Chwaka National Park with a local guide to see the rare Red Colobus monkeys and the mangrove boardwalk.
In the afternoon, visit Kizimkazi, a fishing village on the southern tip of Zanzibar. Take a short boat trip to spot schools of bottlenose and humpback dolphins. If lucky, you may even swim near them—a rewarding and memorable experience. This trip is scheduled in the afternoon to avoid the morning crowds and minimize disturbance to the dolphins.
After breakfast at 08:00, embark on the Safari Blue adventure. Sail on a traditional dhow, snorkel, swim, and relax on a white sandy sandbank. Enjoy fresh seafood and explore the mangrove lagoon near Kwale Island, a natural swimming pool, before returning around 16:30.
Meet our representative and transfer to your hotel for a 2-night stay on bed and breakfast. From 10:00 am, enjoy a one-hour horse ride along the beach, followed by a visit to Baraka Natural Aquarium in Nungwi to swim with and feed rehabilitated turtles before their release back into the ocean.
After breakfast at 08:00, embark on a 5-hour snorkeling tour to Mnemba Atoll on Zanzibar’s coast. Explore vibrant coral reefs, swim with turtles, and spot tropical fish such as lionfish, moray eels, barracuda, and napoleon fish with guidance from an experienced instructor. After the tour, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
