Your driver will pick you up from your hotel around 8:00 AM after breakfast for a short drive to Arusha National Park — the
nearest park to the city. Though small, the park offers a perfect introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. It’s home to giraffes,
Cape buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, elephants, bushbucks, and playful black-and-white colobus monkeys. Bird enthusiasts can
spot species like the Narina trogon, bar-tailed trogon, and various starlings.
You’ll enjoy a guided walking safari — an up-close encounter with nature, surrounded by birdsong, grazing animals, and the
park’s scenic beauty. A trained ranger will accompany you for safety and a richer experience. After an exciting day in the
wild, you’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Arusha.
Depart from Arusha and enjoy a scenic two-hour drive through changing landscapes, passing farms, stone quarries, and Maasai herders guiding their cattle in search of water and pasture. Upon arrival at Lake Manyara National Park, explore this small yet wildlife-rich park, renowned for birdwatching and home to elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, warthogs, and waterbucks. After a day of wildlife viewing, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
Spend the day exploring the fascinating cultural life of the Datoga and Hadzabe tribes at Lake Eyasi. Visit the Datoga pastoralists to witness their traditional lifestyle, homes, and vibrant dances. Then meet the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers, one of the last communities still living by ancient traditions. Observe how they craft bows and arrows, and if you wish, join them on a small game hunt. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Eyasi.
After an early breakfast, depart from your hotel and drive through the Ngorongoro highlands toward Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the stunning scenery stretching endlessly across the plains. Arrive in the central Serengeti, known as the Seronera region, famous for its rich wildlife and the life-giving Seronera River. Encounter vast herds of wildebeests and zebras, elegant giraffes, gazelles, elephants, and the park’s top predators — lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. This day offers an unforgettable glimpse into the raw beauty of Africa’s most iconic ecosystem.
Start your day with an early morning game drive across the Serengeti plains to capture what you may have missed the previous day. Witness a breathtaking sunrise as predators like lions and leopards begin their morning hunt. For an unforgettable experience, you can opt for a hot air balloon safari — a magical way to see the Serengeti from above (optional activity, book in advance). After breakfast, continue exploring the vast savannah in your open-roof vehicle with a packed lunch, soaking in the sights and sounds of nature throughout the day.
Begin your day with an early morning game drive across the Serengeti plains to catch what you may have missed the previous day. Enjoy the stunning sunrise as the golden light spreads over the savannah, and watch predators like lions and leopards on their morning hunt. In the afternoon, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en route. Your journey follows a different route, offering new scenery and a chance to experience the transition from the vast Serengeti grasslands to the lush montane forests of Ngorongoro.
After breakfast, take your picnic lunch and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater, 610 meters deep and 260 square kilometers wide, is the world’s largest intact caldera and home to an incredible variety of wildlife. Spot the Big Five—lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, and buffalo—along with cheetahs, hippos, antelopes, and hyenas. The crater also hosts countless bird species and smaller animals such as jackals, monkeys, warthogs, zebras, and hyraxes. After a rewarding day of exploration, continue your journey to Tarangire for the night.
After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants—sometimes up to 300—and a stunning diversity of wildlife including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland. The Silale Swamp attracts over 550 bird species, offering one of the best birdwatching experiences in Africa. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing pythons, lions, and leopards as you explore the park. After a fulfilling day, drive back to Arusha for the night.
